The Dash 8 Q400 is one of the most successful modern regional turboprops, used widely in short-haul markets around the world. It introduced the \'Q\' (Quiet) noise suppression system, making it much quieter than earlier Dash 8 models.

Fleet Rarity

Moderately common; over 600 built and still actively produced as of 2024. QantasLink has one of the world\'s larger Q400 fleets.

Record Flights

Q400s have operated some of the longest scheduled turboprop flights, including Perth-Geraldton in Australia. Not generally used for record-breaking routes but prized for speed/range among turboprops.
