Aviation History

The Tupolev Tu-144 was the world\'s first commercial supersonic transport aircraft, often known as the \'Concordski\'. First flight in 1968 — two months before Concorde.

Fleet Rarity

1 of only 16 Tu-144s built, even fewer survive. Registration CCCP-77112 is one of the last ever built (serial number 08-2), preserved.

Record Flights

First commercial SST to fly, operated limited mail and passenger flights in the late 1970s.

Safety & Events

Known for its crash at the 1973 Paris Air Show (different airframe). Had limited commercial success, with less than 60 commercial flights.
