Definitely a highlight of our trip to the National Air and Space Museum, was “Flak Bait” B-26 under preservation (not restoration) it was jaw dropping moment, when you see it for the first time, and understand the significance, that this aircraft was literally put into a crate and shipped to the US after the war. It is the most historically accurate WW2 aircraft, down to the cigarette butts, spent ammo casing, and dirt from it’s crews shoes.
