Insights

Aviation History

The Embraer ERJ-145 was a highly successful regional jet, widely operated across Europe, North and South America, and Africa.

Fleet Rarity

Moderately common, but now in the process of slow retirement by major airlines; Loganair is one of the last UK operators.

Record Flights

Commonly used for regional flights in the UK, notably including short Scottish island hops and longer UK/Ireland routes. Not associated with extreme range records.

Safety & Events

Safe and reliable, though a small number of hull losses have occurred globally, mostly with no fatalities.

Future Outlook

Expected to remain in Loganair service in early 2020s, model increasingly replaced by ATRs and other jets.
