Just some engines admiration. United Airlines 737-800 with a CFM International CFM56-7B26 turbofan.

When your casual interest in astronomy meets your love of aircraft and plane spotting. SoCal pre-dawn hours can be quite fascinating.

Looking at a gorgeous IAE V2500-A5 from the forward luggage pit on an A320 at Burbank Airport.

Me striking a pose next to the winglet of a CRJ-200. Not my favorite aircraft but it was the only one low enough to the ground for me to get this shot. 😁 Plus my photographer got a bonus departing Gulfstream in the shot.

Absolutely the suckiest “window seat” on any airliner. If memory serves this is Row 11 on a United Airlines 737-800. From what I’ve read there is an air duct behind the panel so that’s why no window.

A very cold departure from Norfolk Int’l (KORF) en route to Denver (KDEN) on board a United Airlines A320.

Growing up I have only known the 737 to be a small, short range regional airliner. LA to San Francisco was is far as I believed it could go. So my mind was blown when my family and I flew on one from Honolulu to LAX. The…

When I was a child I used to draw winglets on planes not knowing what they were for or what they were called. I just thought that they looked really cool. Now looking at the split-wing scimitar on this 737 as an adult, k…

One of the more prominent aircraft exhibits in Los Angeles. If memory serves, she was placed in Exposition Park for the 1984 Olympics (I could be wrong). She originally sat on her landing gear, but sometime between then …

Saw this during a layover at KORD. I really like it when airlines paint their planes with retro liveries.

Being a SoCal native I don’t get to see the de-icing procedure very often….ever. I got to see this during a layover at KORD.

Got a great view of a Dreamliner at her gate at KSFO. Among the more aesthetically pleasing airliners to me.

The Split Scimitar Winglets looked pretty cool to me.

Working the ramp at BUR we were able to get real up close and personal with the aircraft. Staring at these engines was a favorite pastime of mine.

Early morning sunrise over Terminal B at Hollywood/Burbank Airport. Taken during my ramp agent days.
