National Airlines Boeing 747-400F making a dramatic approach under moody skies.

747 taking from 25L at LAX

Waiting for taxi instructions in the early morning. Cool history about this plane is that it started life as a passenger jet, then a fire fighter, and now a freighter.

The 747-400F is distinguishable by the lack of upper deck windows and the pronounced hump in the forward fuselage for cargo loading. Registration N569CA aligns with a known National Airlines 747-400F frame.

This particular airframe originally flew as the worlds largest aerial fire fighting platform before entering service with National, hint the non standard red livery
