Distinctive curved upper deck and new-generation engines mark this aircraft as a 747-8I. D-ABYJ is one of Lufthansa's flagship long-haul aircraft.

The Boeing 747-8I is the last passenger variant of the 747 with advanced GEnx engines and a stretched fuselage compared to earlier 747s.
